Resource Area Network

Overview

Resource Area Network (RAN) is a general-purpose mechanism where all types of computing resources, such as computer files, software programs, software components, and hardware resources, are deployed, shared, and utilized in a uniform fashion. In a RAN, massive redundancy is treated as a first-class citizen. Massive redundancy is not only expected and well-supported, but also encouraged and automatically enhanced.
